I am an optimistic, romantic, intelligent, witty lady. I am a widowed mother of a fifteen-year-old girl and a twelve-year-old boy who make me proud every day. I am an open-minded, sensual and passionate BBW as well as a really bad joke teller and lover of all things quirky. I used to be a type A personality until my world fell apart when my husband passed. Now, I take things as they come. I don't freak out over things I have no control. I know what issues deserve my energy and attention and which really can just be let be. I also know that we have one life and we owe it to ourselves to live it to the fullest, not to let others tell us how we should be living, going for as much happiness and pleasure that we can find. None of us are getting out of here alive and holding back on your dreams doesn't get you any special points in the end. I like Aunty Mame's saying,"Life's a banquet and most poor SOBs are starving to death."Along with loving 80s music and film, I enjoy keeping up-to-date on what's going on in the world, natural sciences, deep sea fishing, cooking, swimming, world history, painting pottery, spending time with my family, David Attenborough docs, live theater, traveling, especially to historical sites, bad puns, laughter and biting wit. Oh, and being served tropical drinks (with the little umbrella) whilst lounging by an azure pool at an all inclusive tropical resort. You know....like you do. I want to travel a lot more in the future. I don't hold much value in owning a bunch of stuff but traveling, meeting new people and learning about different cultures can only expand your world and enrich your life.

Not a big fan of "the coffee date." IMHO, you should talk on the phone or text and build up a rapport with someone. Then, go out on a real date. You will have lots to talk about and it's much less artificial feeling.

I've always wanted to try sailing on the lake. I used to go out on the Gulf all the time but I have yet to go out on the lake.

I am choosing to be happy and make the most of my time. I am a very involved mom and a good friend, sister and daughter. I don't work as my late husband arranged it so I would not have to return to work should he pass. However, I have to have something to do or my brain will atrophy. I am looking for the real thing and not interested in boys who want to play. I am looking for an accomplished man who knows what he wants. He isn't married or in any sort of committed relationship.
